The above picture is after two applications of fiber glass. It will need one more to finish it up. That is as long as my son does a good sanding job.
This is how it sits at the moment. Hopefully by next week, the butt pad will be mounted the glass bedding of the receiver will be done. The barrel is floated at the moment but that could change. As of this writing the scope mount isn't decided on. It will either be the Tapco/ATI mount I already have or a 91/30 PU scope mount. Since the use of the original military sights is desired, this won't be a scout type deal, which will also exclude the ATI mount most definitely. When that's decided upon, the stock will be glassed in Real Tree fabric. I definitely have to obtain a front site though.
