Mosin Nagant M44 Sporter Page 12
Below are pictures of a butchered Japanese Arisaka T-99 .30-06. This rifle I have come to find out only 7,000 were made. Now there are 6,999. However, it's a shame this was done to it before I received it. The stock was cut down a lot smaller than I like, so I decided to alter it. It was missing too many parts and altered beyond restoration. The first two pictures show how I received it. The next pictures show grafting on a fore end from a broken turk stock and the buttend from an AK47. I finally have all the parts needed to scope and finish it. As time permits I'll create it's own pages for it.
This is how it looks at present, 12/30/02. I haven't
had much time to work on it.
Below is a Turk 03/38 that I also received butchered.
It appears that the prior owner was trying to make an "03/46" short rifle out of it. The first
two pictures are exactly how it came. Except it didn't have a bolt. The next two pictures are
of the stock holes filed, cracks repaired and the fore end lengthened. This also may get it's
own webpage, when I get to it.
